Visa Information
Obtaining documents for travelling to China
Chinese Visa Requirements
Most non P.R. China nationals require a visa to enter China. There are limited visa waiver programmes in existence, and the GSMA strongly suggests that you check with your local Chinese visa issuing authority (Embassy, Consulate, Government visa office, etc.) on whether your nationality requires a visa to enter the P.R. China. More information is available here.
Attendees employed by multi-national companies, organisations, and companies with established operations in China, are encouraged to check with their travel provider, Chinese office or human resources department with regards to special visa support arrangements in existence for employees travelling to China on company business.
Visa Invitation Letters
Should you require an invitation letter to secure your visa, our registration partner can provide this for you. Invitations are only provided to attendees who have completed registration and who have either fully paid their registration fee or who are on a complimentary pass type. Your MAE booking number will be required in order to apply for an invitation letter. A non-refundable charge of US $25 will be made per visa invitation letter (as well as an additional courier charge for those requesting a hard copy of the invitation letter).
Please note that GSMA and our registration partner do not take responsibility for the issuance of visas. We are unable to provide assistance with visa applications beyond supplying the invitation letter. It is the responsibility of the attendee to ensure they allow sufficient time for the processing of any visa prior to travel to the event.
