Mobile Asia Expo is organised by the GSMA

The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide. Spanning more than 220 countries, the GSMA unites nearly 800 of the world’s mobile operators with more than 230 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem, including handset makers, software companies, equipment providers and Internet companies, as well as organisations in industry sectors such as financial services, healthcare, media, transport and utilities. The GSMA also produces industry-leading events such as the Mobile World Congress and Mobile Asia Expo.

With the goal of accelerating the development of the mobile industry and fostering the collaboration of the industry ecosystem, we have been pushing forward a variety of industry programmes and initiatives including Spectrum for Mobile Broadband, Public Policy, Mobile NFC, Technical Projects, Rich Communication, Development Fund and Connected Living, along the following three main pillars:

Along with Mobile Asia Expo, the GSMA runs the industry-renowned, Mobile World Congress and other events across the globe each year, including the NFC & Mobile Money Summit.

Mobile World Congress

Held each February in the Mobile World Capital of Barcelona, Spain, the GSMA Mobile World Congress provides the planet’s best venue for mobile industry networking, business opportunities and deal-making. It includes a world-class conference, an exhibition with more than 1,500 companies, App Planet, mPowered Brands, and the Global Mobile Awards, which recognise the most innovative solutions and initiatives from around the world.

In 2012, Mobile World Congress hosted more than 67,000 mobile professionals from 205 countries. Of these, more than 56% of these were C-Level executives, and 10,000 were mobile developers as part of App Planet. Learn more at www.mobileworldcongress.com.

NFC & Mobile Money Summit

The GSMA NFC & Mobile Money Summit is the premier event for leaders and players in the mobile and financial industries. The Summit brings together key players within the ecosystem to stimulate conversation, collaboration and progress for all NFC and Mobile Money stakeholders globally, regionally and locally.
